Before Johan van Jaarsveld became a tour operator conducting Safaris, he traveled to several destinations around the world

He is a Biologist and has an active interest in many aspects of Natural Science and worked in Kruger Park for 10 years
Some destinations traveled to were: Botswana, Zambia, Namibia, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Madagascar, South America, Canada, America, and Australia

His travels gave rise to a natural progression of taking friends along, which led into a business of tourism. Having done his own research for many years Johan wanted to share his knowledge and his many experiences in the African bush

The tours and Safaris are personal and not based on a distant client and operator business but rather an experience shared amongst a group of enthusiasts wanting to experience the real Africa. Johan’s experience of travel in Africa, under African conditions is superior. Along with this he has the rare combination of having exceptional knowledge of Natural History. Being a Raptor Biologist he is comfortable amongst the most experienced Raptor biologists in the world

Jude, Johan’s wife is Australian. She qualified as a professional chef in Australia. They got married in South Africa and have been working together since 2000.
If Jude does not join the Safaris she does a lot of preparation at home. Guests often remark on the delicious food while on Safari. Jude has a guesthouse in Underberg.She also has a degree in Fine Arts and is a practising artist
